You never know.
Just try not to think the worse. You're a member, you and some of the other members just need to post. JKust because I'm not on much anymore doesn't mean everyone else should leave too. Besides, if we're "doomed" why are we still getting members??

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Boards don't grow rapidly, you know. They take time. This one isn't necessarily "doomed". You can do things to help out this board, too. So instead of sitting around complaining about it....why not do something about it?

I wouldn't particularily say it's doomed, nor would I consider it a "fail[ure]", either. People are still around, so I really wouldn't worry about it - even if the posts do come in few and far between. The fact that people come here and see the low amount of new posts probably draws them back from replying, which may also be the reason for the decreased number of joining members. People usually are less interested in reply to dated threads. But if it's the member count that you're worried about: Just because a board is a bit on the small side doesn't make it a failed attempt. It's still serving its purpose at bringing people together, allowing people to discuss basically anything they have on their mind, and giving people the opportunity to make new friends. That's what a message board is for, regardless of size. Then again, I'm replying to a message that is over four months old, so what do I know . People will come back, though. I am sure of it.

Yeah, I agree with Rachel.
It's doing pretty well for a small board.
I don't agree with that whole "boards don't grow rapidly" thing, though.
Some of them do. Especially music boards (like certain bands' official boards)

It has more to do with the popularity of the band than the quality of their music.
And it also depends on the kind of fanbase the band has.

^ I agree. A band may be popular but not particularly one of the best around. I can think of many bands out there today that aren't getting the recognization that they deserve while the "fresher" crowd is bombarding the airwaves with, frankly, mediocre talent. But that's another rant entirely.
You're right about the type of fanbase a band might have, also. Bands that appeal to older (or even younger) crowds might not have as many people hanging around their message boards. Adults usually have better things to do and less than enough time to do it in; while teenagers are usually the ones who make up the majority of band forums.
