Well, I do know of a few, but I haven't really given them the listen they deserve. I've been meaning to, though, and will eventually. In the meantime, there are a few bands that I can recall being mentioned somewhere or another at a few different websites I've come upon. I've heard a lot of good things about Megaherz and Oomph! especially, so those I would recommend checking out first of all. A few others that I can remember hearing about were In Extremo and Tanzwut, who both play what I believe is considered "medieval" music (bagpipes, harps and such combined with modern metal instruments). I heard a few mp3 clips from those last two and it actually sounded pretty cool. A lot of Rammstein fans seem to like those bands I listed above; that's the only way I was able to hear about them. But anyway, if you're looking for more Deutsche Musik, you could always check out deutschmusikland.com or musiknews.info. There's mention of many more German bands for you there. I hope I helped a little. If you do end up checking a few of those out, tell me what you think of them. I'd be interested. I just don't have the time to go on a downloading spree myself right now, but no use making you wait.

You know what? Just after writing all that above, I thought about something. Foreign bands need more recognition in the U.S. There are just so many bands outside the country that we Americans are never exposed to, and I find that a shame. Anyway, I've always wondered something: are there any good Spanish metal bands out there? I've been learning the language myself and have been curious for a while. I knew there had to be more out there aside from Latin pop music. I guess I was right.
I stumbled upon some music from a band called Mago de Oz today, a power metal band from Spain, and I'm actually very impressed. I've always preconceived that the Spanish language might sound strange when applied to metal, but it seems I've been proven wrong.
If anyone at all is curious, download "El Señor De Los Anillos" by Mago de Oz.
[oh, why do I write so much?]

I just don't have the time to go on a downloading spree myself right now, but no use making you wait. Thanks, you really did! One of my Deadjournal buddies listens to In Extremo and I've downloaded some of the songs (But since this computer I've been using has been messing up I'm not sure if they got done downloading or not. So, I haven't listened to them yet!) Haha. Oh, don't worry about it. I love you're writing. You should really become a writer or journalist someday! P.S I downloaded some Cannibal Corpse songs a few months ago and burned them on a CD. One of the songs, I found out later wasn't C.C., but some other band. Maybe it is just me, but they sound like they are singing in Spanish. It's a really good song though; My favorite, actually. When I downloaded it it was called "Killers" by Transmetal, but I'm not exactly sure if that is a band or not, but I guess you could try it... But, it's metal though, so if you're not into metal then.. yeah. but i really like it a lot! whew. you think &you& write too much?? Ha! ;D

I'm really glad I could help. When I next find the time, I'll download some things by them, also. And thanks for telling me about Transmetal. I looked them up on Google and they are indeed a Spanish band. Mexican, actully. Unfortunatly, my stupid WinMX is not cooperating right now, so I'll have to write back later when I'm able to download a few songs. Oh, I love metal. I've been getting into it a bit more recently. Most of them are from other countries, also (but sing in English), and they are all amazing. Opeth is a Swedish prog death metal band (they are godlike - you may have heard a lot about around the 'net) and Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band (they are great and now one of my favorites) - two bands that are quickly moving to the top portion of my list. Mago de Oz is power metal also, I believe. Anyway, just to say I'm not getting off subject, I recommend all these bands, also. Wow, thanks . That's really nice of you to say. But I'm sure there are people out there who skip past my posts. "Eh, too much to read. Next!" Me? Well, I like long posts, but some people are too lazy to read a few paragraphs. Either that or they would just rather get straight to the point. Whichever. Beat this, missy!

Whew. I wasn't sure is Transmetal was actually a band or if someone just made it up or something. I'll have to find the name if the song that I *love* by them. hehe. But, I'll get it later. Anyway, since I'm on another computer that actually works, I'm going to download some songs by those bands you suggested, Rach. I love metal! For awhile I caleld metal "rock" which is why I kept saying that back.. then, but then again I like every kind of music. Metal is just my favorite. Anyway, the song I would also suggest would be, I beleive it's called "The Touch", (It's on The Craft soundtrack) I'll find the artists name later, since I have to go now.
